Food and water rations are approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and have a 5-year shelf life. All kits are designed to "take and go" and are intended to support you outdoors for 3 days. We recommend that you store your family kit in a container in the yard away from the house and a kit in each vehicle. It is always advisable to store additional water at home in the event of an emergency.
